A Revolution of Ideas

A Revolution of
Ideas

When you hear the word
“revolution”, what do you think
of? Something bloody and
violent? People standing on
soapboxes and screaming at a
crowd? A line of angry people
with picket signs?
That’s not the kind of revolution
we’re creating. We’re creating a
revolution of ideas.
The Connection Revolution isn’t
like the American Revolution
or the French Revolution. The
Connection Revolution is like
the Industrial Revolution, like the
Renaissance.
No guns.
No violent uprisings.
No protest rallies.
No bullshit.
Just ideas. World-changing ideas.
It has happened before, and
it can happen again. Think
about the Renaissance. When
the Renaissance swept Europe
and then the world, was there
a violent uprising? Were any
governments overthrown?
Were any anti-art monarchs
assassinated? No. The creation
and transmission of revolutionary
ideas fueled the revolution. The
ideas swept through the dominant
paradigm, causing changes that
continue to ripple through our
lives.
A revolution of ideas has two
steps: practice and share.
A world in which everyone talks
about connection but doesn’t
practice connection doesn’t sound
like a great world to be in, does it?
So let’s put it into practice:
Connect with yourself, connect
with others, connect with the
world, connect with Spirit
