Experiment.

 Experiment.
Pay close
attention to your mood at
different times of the day, when
you’re doing various activities, and
when different events happen.
Try new things: try a different
sleep schedule for a month or
two, try different social activities,
try different leisure activities,
try a different soap, try different
hobbies, try different diets, try
different ways of dressing, try
spending time with different
groups of friends. Shake things
up! Get out of the ruts you’re in
that you don’t even see.
Keep a journal of how you feel,
and write in it at least once a
day. After you’ve experimented
for a while, go back and look in
your journal for patterns. When
are you happy? When are you
unhappy? Then do more of what makes you
happy and less of what makes you
unhappy.
If you try this experiment, I
guarantee you’ll be surprised.
People are surprisingly bad at
predicting what will actually make
them happy, but your journal

won’t lie.
